Who we are 

Maarten Stoffels is an entrepreneur, business management expert and represents the interests of SMEs. After completing his studies, he took his first steps in the business world in 1992 and became the director/owner of the family-owned company Giesen, a Dutch metal construction and technical trading company founded in 1840.

 

After more than 15 years, he sold this business and changed his focus to larger high-tech companies operating in engineering, machine building, and maintenance. As P & L responsible manager for business units and/or departments, Stoffels gained extensive experience in general management and executive roles.

In the past 12 years, Stoffels has successfully worked on 'level up assignments' with larger international companies on behalf of midmarket private equity firms. His focus was on redesigning organizations, developing new product-market-combinations, and forming complementary teams.

 

For over 10 years, Stoffels has been the owner of General Executive Support, a service provider specializing in process optimization, new business and team development. Since 2017, he has also been involved as a business partner with the Dutch-German high-tech scale-up, 8vance.

Hans van den Bongard is an economist with lots of living & working experience in Latin America. After having worked in several multinational companies in The Netherlands he followed his long term goal to emigrate to a Latin America country, I this case Mexico. He has been living there for over 15 years.

In the Netherlands he has worked in several areas like Sales & Marketing, Business Intelligence and CRM.

​

In Mexico he started his own business focussed on financial and business consultancy for both companies and executives.

The country has become more open to foreign investments and Mexicans are getting used to work with foreign companies and managers. In general the business culture of Mexico and foreign companies blends well together, although there are always some cultural differences to overcome. But that is nothing unusual.”
